Restaurants

  • Bookings closed 6 weeks in advance.
  • EFT deposit option limited to a minimum of 3 days prior to the reservation. 
  • 24 hour cancellation policy for all deposits
  • The deposit is to secure your booking and will be deducted from your final bill
  • Tables are released if you have not arrived within 20 minutes of your reservation
  • We have allocated a time of 2.5hr to your reservation. Should you wish to join us for longer, please contact the restaurant directly to let them know. 
  • Your reservation involves a shared restaurant space. Therefore, no disruptive elements such as speeches, signage or decorations are permitted.
  • We are not licensed for off-site alcohol consumption, therefore all alcohol-based products ordered must be consumed on the premises of the restaurant from which they are ordered. Patrons are not permitted to leave with unfinished alcohol products.

Hotel

Payment Policy

  • A 50% deposit is required at the time of making the booking, with the balance payable 30 days prior to arrival. Should bookings be made within 30 days of arrival, full payment will be required at the time of making the booking. All reservations that have not been confirmed with deposit or full prepayment are deemed provisional and may be released by the hotel without prior notification. Payment can either be made by credit card or bank transfer. Should payment be made with a credit card ,a secure payment portal from NedBank will be sent to you on our behalf asking you to authorise the amount requested. Should payment be made via bank transfer, please email a proof of payment to stay@alphen.co.za The hotel reserves the right to request deposits or full payment in advance, in the case of large groups, long stays or high occupancy. Should payment not be timeously received, the hotel reserves the right to automatically cancel the reserved accommodation and at the same time reserve the right to cancel or refuse to accept further bookings.

check-in & Check-out

  • Our check-in time is from 14h00pm;
  • Check-out time is 11h00am on the day of departure.

cancellation policy

  • Up to 46 days prior to arrival: No cancellation fee
  • 45 - 31 days prior to arrival: 50% of the total amount
  • 30 - 0 days prior to arrival: 100% of the total amount
  • No Show: 100% of the total amount

Spa

cancellations

We ask that you make any cancellation or changes to treatments at least 24 hours before your appointment to avoid a 100% cancellation charge. No-shows will result in a full charge.

arrival

We invite you to arrive at least 15 minutes before your appointment to allow adequate time to change. For your comfort, we provide a bathrobe, slippers and disposable undergarments, as well as complimentary shampoo and spa body products. As a courtesy to other guests, should you arrive late, we regret that we will only be able to offer you the remainder of your appointment time. The full cost of the treatment or service will still be charged.

well-being

Our spa is a non-smoking facility. It’s advisable to avoid consuming heavy foods prior to or directly after a spa treatment. For your safety and comfort, we ask you to complete a pre-treatment survey. Please notify us of any specific requirements for your visit which may include injuries, illnesses or allergies.

communication

Prior to the start of your treatment, kindly advise your therapist of the areas you would like special attention, and of any areas to be avoided. During your treatment, please let the therapist know if you might feel any discomfort. Communication is key to obtaining the full benefit of your spa experience.

gratuities

Our prices do not include gratuities. If you have enjoyed your treatment, please feel free to leave a gratuity at your discretion.

age policy

Guests must be over the age of 12.

All guests under the age of 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
